DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY NAVAL ORDNANCE SYSTEMS COMMAND WASHINGTON, D.C. 20360
28 February 1968
Dear Mr. Albert: It is always a pleasure for officials in my position to receive letters such as yours of May 17, 1968, forward- ing the letter received from Mr. Ralph M. Bradley under date of 14 May 1968, complimenting Captain R.M. Hanson, for the excellent job the Captain is doing in race relations at the Naval Ammunition Depot, McAlester, Oklahoma.
These are trying times. Certainly if we are to have a lasting and meaningful peace at the international level, it is absolutely essential that we have the harmony and progress which people such as Captain Hanson are promoting at the grass roots.
I shall see to it that yours and Mr. Bradley's letters are made a part of Captain Hanson's official record.
My many thanks. Sincerely, A. R. Gralla Rear Admiral, U.S.N.
Honorable Carl Albert House of Representatives Washington, D. C. 20515
