STATE OF OKLAHOMA
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, THE PEOPLE OF OKLAHOMA RECOGNIZE THE
CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE UNITED STATES AMMUNITION DEPOT
TO THE DEFENSE OF FREE PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD; AND
WHEREAS, THE ECONOMY OF THIS STATE BENEFITS GREATLY
FROM THE EMPLOYMENT OF OKLAHOMANS AT THE DEPOT AND THE
RESULTING IMPACT ON LOCAL BUSINESS INTERESTS; AND
WHEREAS, RECENT YEARS HAVE FOUND AN OUTSTANDING ADMINISTRATION
AT THE DEPOT RESULTING IN COMPLETE COOPERATION
WITH STATE AND LOCAL CIVIC LEADERSHIP; AND
WHEREAS; THE PEOPLE OF THIS STATE AND PARTICULARLY
THE CITIZENS OF SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA FEEL A GENUINE
APPRECIATION FOR THE ATTITUDE THAT HAS PREVAILED UNDER
THE COMMAND OF CAPTAIN RALPH HANSON.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DEWEY F. BARTLETT, GOVERNOR OF
THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM FEBRUARY 23, 1970, AS
CAPTAIN RALPH M. HANSON DAY
IN OKLAHOMA, AND URGE THE PEOPLE OF THIS STATE TO HONOR
HIM IN EVERY APPROPRIATE MANNER.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I HAVE HEREUNTO SET MY HAND AND CAUSED
THE GREAT SEAL OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA TO BE AFFIXED.
