USS Fitzgerald
According to his wishes, the ashes of Capt. Ralph M. Hanson were dispersed at sea on April 2, 2002, from the guided missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62). The following photographs were taken by the Navy during the service, and sent to Captain Hanson's family along with a video of the service, the folded flag, shell casings, and documents relating to the ship and the ceremony.
