WILLIAM L. KAUBER Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy EXECUTIVE OFFICER |
Despite the frequent accusations of his fellow "Mustang" and boon companion, Lieutenant A. O. TURNER, that he sweeps upwind like a Marine, that he is far too ancient to be of any further service either to himself or to the Navy, and that in general he is as fouled up as a Midshipman drawing small stores, "Uncle Bill" KAUBER, Executive Officer, has been indispensable to the squadron. He is "true Navy", having advanced from the ranks in a varied and interesting Naval Career now extending into its sixteenth year, nearly half of which has been as a pilot. Ho has 4500 hours of flying time to his credit, the great majority of which has been in PBYs.
With such a background, Lieutenant Commander KAUBER has been an invaluable asset to the Commanding Officer and to the squadron.
